Aivhy has opened a location in Enschede, extending its presence from Malta to the Netherlands. The expansion brings the company closer to Dutch manufacturing and logistics businesses and supports its ambition to build a knowledge centre in East Netherlands.
A local base in East Netherlands
The choice of Enschede reflects both the region’s industrial strengths and Aivhy’s connection to Twente. Co-owner Stanley Muller comes from East Netherlands and knows the local manufacturing environment, its practical mindset and the challenges companies face in their daily operations.
Twente combines an established manufacturing base with a technology ecosystem that includes the University of Twente, Saxion University of Applied Sciences and innovative industrial companies. Aivhy sees opportunities for collaboration, knowledge exchange, practical projects and student involvement.
“The Netherlands is a logical next step for us. Over the past years, we have expanded into international markets from Malta and built experience across different manufacturing environments. East Netherlands offers a strong industrial base, a practical mindset and a technology ecosystem that understands both the opportunities and challenges of digitalisation. Establishing a knowledge centre here allows us to work more closely with customers while continuing to strengthen our technology capabilities in Malta.”
Digitalisation around the way a company works
Aivhy starts with a company’s processes and operational knowledge. It connects existing machines, systems, people and workflows into one digital ecosystem, helping teams exchange information, reduce manual handovers and maintain a clearer view of their operations.
Aivhy’s BOS (Business Operating System) provides the digital backbone for this approach. Existing systems can remain in place while processes are connected across departments and locations. Companies can begin with a focused operational need and expand step by step.
For Robbert Brand, founder and CEO of Aivhy, the starting point is the way a business creates value. Aivhy’s approach keeps that operational knowledge central as processes are structured, digitalised, integrated and automated.
Control over data and processes
The approach also addresses the growing importance of technology independence. Aivhy helps companies retain control over their own data and processes as they digitalise. Its vendor-independent approach allows different technologies to work together and gives businesses room to develop their operations around their own requirements.
Allart Reinders, responsible for business development in the Netherlands, sees East Netherlands as a region with the knowledge and industrial experience to build this digital foundation. The local presence enables Aivhy to work more closely with companies on practical improvements that fit their existing operations.
Building on the technology base in Malta
The Dutch expansion follows several years of international growth from Malta. Malta remains an important base for Aivhy’s technology capabilities and customer support across Europe and the Middle East.
Aivhy’s sister company, OpenIIoT, develops the software products used within Aivhy’s solutions. Support from Malta Enterprise has helped OpenIIoT strengthen its development capabilities, while TradeMalta has supported international connections and market development.
The presence in Enschede connects those capabilities with the needs of Dutch industry, providing a local base for customer relationships, implementation and further growth.
